ABOUT US

The San Diego Center for Patient Safety (SDCPS) was established in September 2001 as a collaborative effort between the University of California, San Diego and the VA San Diego Healthcare System with a grant from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. We have assembled a multi-disciplinary group of over 70 members and forged affiliations with San Diego's major healthcare delivery organizations. In addition, we have created the Center for Healthcare Simulation, developed patient safety education programs, and undertaken a variety of research activities to understand medical error and enhance patient safety. <SDCPS Introduction Presentation (2.5 MB)>
