| The Division of Medical Education launched a new website in Spring 2007. This extensive site highlights the MedEd Offices and Resources serving the continuum of Medical Education at UCSD. These sites are based on a content managment system developed by EdCom exclusively for the Division. |
The MedEd WebPortal coordinates the diverse electronic resources used by UCSD's medical students, faculty, and the various MedEd offices of student and curricular support. The WebPortal draws from a variety of databases and electronic systems and seamlessly delivers information to the user in a contextually appropriate format. With a single sign-on, users are provided with the resources and tools that are appropriate to their group (student, staff, faculty, resource administrator, or system manager). |

 | MedPics: a web-based image delivery system collaboratively developed at UCSD by the School of Medicine’s Office of Education Computing and the Histology and Human Disease course faculty. MedPics is a self-paced learning environment that uses on-screen guidance to assist students in key feature identification and image interpretation. The supporting text provides core and clinically relevant information about each image and a learning framework for organizing the subject matter. |
