Anti-Virus

The UCSD Next Generation Network (NGN) project provides Sophos Anti-Virus Software at no charge to the UCSD community. The software can be installed onto home or on-campus computer workstations.

The Office of Educational Computing provides the free download of the Sophos Anti-Virus product for all our clients and supplies a Remote Update client to keep your computer up-to-date with the latest virus definitions.

If you decide to use your own anti-virus software package, we have included links to the most common anti-virus software companies' websites to obtain the latest virus definition files for your computer.
